tander Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Been with State Farm for 45 years. Never had a boat claim but a few with the vehicles and house. They have always been great. Quote
airshot Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 I use Auto-Owners for home, cars and boat thru home ins. My boat value is only 5K plus acessories, each at a set value. General fishing gear coverage is 1K which woukd cover all my gear, then electronics at 1500 for trolling and gps. If I had a 50K fancy bass boat, I would look elsewhere, but for my small aluminum hull SC it works. Key thing is to make sure you have salvage and epa coverage in case it would sink. Many companies may not cover that part !! Quote
kjfishman Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 I found best rate with Progressive for my bass boat. Since my kayak would be easy for someone to steal out of the bed of my truck when traveling I have added protection for the kayak and gear with All State. It is very inexpensive. Quote
clemsondds Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 Thank you all! I went through Bob with Worldwide Marine and they gave me a great package! It's through progressive btw. Thanks again everyone and if you are looking for insurance, I would definitely give them a try 1 Quote
Super User Bird Posted February 9, 2024 Super User Posted February 9, 2024 Well since this thread started I've already changed insurance companies 😁. Now with that little green lizard with an accent, saved a bundle by bundling 😃 Quote
Super User slonezp Posted February 9, 2024 Super User Posted February 9, 2024 When i had my boat I used Markell. Agreed value policy. Quote
Jeremy S Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 I use progressive with an additional stated value coverage (or agreed value, whatever it’s called) for an additional 10k to cover rods, reels, and electronics. The policy otherwise just covers my Hobie PA 14 and my wife’s PA 14. I could buy new kayaks cheaper than I could replace my rods/reels/lithiums and graphs by a long shot though so that was my biggest concern. Quote
steves191145 Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 I have Eerie for the boat our vehicles and our homeowners insurance. The boat is covered very well along with anything in it. I think It also carries something like 300k in property damage on the boat policy. I have a 15 year old that just got his boat lisc last fall so I made sure the boat was well covered. Quote
