Have any of you ever stayed at Bass World Lodge just north of Lake George on the St. John’s river? I stayed south of the lake a couple of years ago year and want to try the other end this time. Is it a decent place to stay?

I live near there, I’ve never stayed there but used the boat ramp a few times, haven’t been there in a couple years. They fixed the ramp closer to me. It was clean looking, ramp was in good shape. Heard the cabins were nice inside, everyone was nice there. Your in pretty good fishing area too, Ocklawaha is close, lot of pads. I thought it was your typical Florida fish camp. Hope this helps

I stayed there many years ago. I thought it was a good place for some guys on a fishing trip. Not so much for ladies looking for a "Florida Vacation".

Suitable fishing accommodations but far from 4 star. Very rural. Nothing real handy. Had to ride down the road a few miles to get cell phone service. Probly like your fathers fish camp. I liked it. The wife, not so much Spiders as big as your fist but, not to worry, the snakes eat em readily.

Bear in mind, my stay was about 15 years ago. I don't want to discourage anyone from staying there. I'm sure they have made necessary improvements over the years.
