I got only one yozuri jerkbait 110 deep. When I tried it out on the water, I can see it have a very steep head down position on the suspend. It was almost head down, maybe about 75 - 80 degrees from horizontal. I know yozuri is a quality brand with many good reviews. Anyone knows if this jerkbait is actually designed with this steep angle and not an error?

I have other jerkbaits and if they do have a head down tilt, it is not as much as this yozuri.

I read where a pro (don't remember who) say that they used a swivel with suspending jerkbaits to get the nose down on the pause.  So maybe your bait is behaving correctly.  My Yozuri jerkbaits have a swivel attached already.

There is really only one bait that will suspend straight pretty much all the time and that is the Lucky Craft Pointer. Even Megabass's Vision One Ten will point nose down depending on water temp. If you want to change it, you can tweak it slightly by putting a smaller/lighter hook on the front.

As far as the Yozuri jerkbait goes, it's a great bait as is. It is actually designed to fish that way.  This is from Yozuri's site.....

The 3DB Jerkbait 110 is a suspending lure with an irresistible minnow shape. It is designed with “Flat Sides” which make it perfect for stop & go retrieves, or a pause/jerk/pause technique. The new Weight Transfer System makes for unbelievably long casts and the “Head Down” position during pauses in the retrieve are features developed by Yo-Zuri’s product development teams working closely with their pro-staff bass anglers. All baits in this series feature Yo-Zuri’s exclusive “Wave Motion Technology” that sends vibrations throughout the water column.

It seems a lot of jerkbait out there have some head down position on the suspend. But never seen one as extreme as on the yozuri 110. I am aware of the "head down" described in Yozuri's description. I thought I would check with this forum and maybe anybody else have the same jerkbait, to double check that it is behaving as designed.

I wouldn't want to be fishing with a faulty jerkbait since I tend to do very long pauses and letting it suspend. That means a very long time in one cast and retreive. No one wants to put a lot of time in that one retrieve on a bait that was never working.

Go to the 1:22 mark. This is what you should expect. With the head down, it should look like a defensive posture and a bass will usually strike when the head starts to turn on a pause.
