Have graphite crank bait rods caught up to the "forgiveness" of fiberglass rods yet?

100% yes.

St croix's Mod-fast and kistler nitranium are my favorites at the moment, if I'm looking for a cranking rod.

In 3-6 feet, I'm likely to be on heavier hooks and want a crisper tip though, so I'm mostly using fast rods with some give in the tip; I think it is because I'm trying to feel my way through cover.

Go graphite. 3-6 ft there is no need for a long rod. I have 3 primary crankbait rods and all are graphite and I shallow crank a ton. Kistler and Cashion make great graphite cranking rods. If you like a longer rod the 7’6 Falcon Cranker is a good stick and won’t break the bank. I think most brands make something that will fit your needs that is shorter and lighter than your current rod. There’s no need for any rod to weigh more than 4.5oz these days. My jig and frog rods don’t even weigh that

I'm looking at the Falcon Lowrider 7'6" Cranker. Can it throw 1/4oz crankbaits that dive 6' as well as 1/2oz cranks that dive 10'?

The Dobyns 705CB Champions rod landed on Thursday. I am impressed as hell with the build quality of it. Also, impressed with the weight. Compared with my old 7' 10" Skeet Reese rod, the new Dobyns feels like a feather. Thanks to all for the assistance in me picking out my new Crank Bait rod. Now for winter to get done so I can go FISHING!!!

A couple of us have been talking about this in another thread.
I have the Daiwa Rebellion glass.   It is very light and sensitive while still having the parabolic glass action.  I love it.  I found it on sale last year for $99 so I had to try it.  Very glad I did.
