If your going out to party tonight, please be careful out there. Have fun, but be safe also.                               Each year, my wife and I go up to a cafe near home for a fresh walleye dinner. They have the walleye brought in every year, and it's delicious. Then, back home to relax, and hopefully find a good movie to watch. I'll be lucky to make it to 12:00.          If I do, I'll give my wife a kiss, and quietly say " happy new year".              Then, patiently wait until winter passes, and I can go fishing again.

Helpful hint:  Celebrate the New Year on tv in New York.  That's how I make it to "midnight".

I haven’t stayed up until midnight in years. My girlfriend is dragging me to party that friends of ours are throwing but there is a 0% chance that I will not be home sleeping long before midnight.

Made a quick trip to the store for a few items this morning.

We are getting a little snow locally, and I mean a little.

It's a 16 mile rounds trip and there were TWO fender benders road side on the way home.

We won't be up late nor will we be 'out' for the next two days.

New Year's Eve is Amateur Night, always has been.

Seems some folks are starting early.

Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

Stay Safe

I don’t remember the last time I made it to Midnight. I predict I’ll be sleeping by 10.

We’re heading out to our neighbours in a few minutes, gonna be about 10 people there and I’m all but certain that every one of us will be back home and in bed by 10:00 or so. Haven’t seen midnight on new years in a very long time, and that’s just fine with me.

I’d say we will make it to 12, I’m in boring town USA in a log cabin so we’ve got to watch something

Made it to half time as usual, that’s it for me. We did do prime NY strip and shrimp tonight, that’s enough celebration for us. Go Packers.

It's 2024 now.  I was asleep last night by 9:30.  I have to work today.  A few years ago when I was on second shift we were supposed to work until midnight on Dec 31.   Pretty much everyone left at 10 that night so we weren't on the roads after midnight with the impaired drivers.

I wish everyone a great 2024.
