Sharpening your Ninja Blade?

They are in fact a blade, does anybody sharpen theirs after a lot of use?

Do you think their performance changes after heavy use? It’s obvious that it’s winter and I’m bored.

I’ve never had to sharpen mine after 6 years

You tapped or glue on boss? Man I’m bored. You run a dual blade setup? Let me tell you. I ran a dual blade for the first time this past summer up in the weedy north country and it was life changing, for fishing that is. It was equally as big of a jump to 2 blades as it was from none to 1. Now I need to see if I can fit three!!  man I’m bored.

I don't own one, but I don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea to sharpen it.  I mean, is it possible to cut weeds too well?  Does anyone ever say they're not getting tangled up enough?  

 

Plus, I too like to sharpen things when I'm bored.  I find it meditative and therapeutic.  My hairless forearms will attest to that.

As a person who has hit their finger with a spinning TM prop a time or 3……..

I use a Grass Goat.  Never have sharpened it.

I stay away from weeds, open water trolling on Lake Erie....

Not a terrible idea. I've noticed mine won't cut pondweed very well on the prop I have now. My old TM prop was much closer to the blade... seems that the pondweed just slides off and gets in the gap.

I'd bet against me ever doing this, since we don't really have an off-season in Texas.

I've had to file mine down because of nicks a number of times. Put an edge on it afterward and replaced it when it got nicked up again.  I tried a two blade metal prop a number of years ago, but there was a big performance loss over the Ninja

Dual ninja blade is the ticket

Sharpened mine 1 times since I had it years ago. Probably didn't need it but I think it did improve performance slightly. Might add another one.
