Hi all,

Might be flying down to southern Orlando for a conference end of Feb. Looking to get some suggestions for guides that maybe you all have had experience with. Thank you again!

Only Orlando area? Reason I ask, you'll only about and hour or so away from Fellsmere, the famous Headwaters lake. That would be the ultimate guide trip with guaranteed fish with the possibility of a DD, especially in February! You'd have to book now to get a boat.

I think Orlando area just because I would probably be flying out same day and don't want to add hours to travel if possible.

Oh, okay, thought you down for the weekend or at least for a couple days. If you can do a conference and then pull off a guided fishing trip all in the same day before heading to the airport, then hats off to ya!

gotcha. I only know of guides in the Fellsmere area at either Stick Marsh, Kenansville, or Headwaters. Too bad because February is prime time to get a DD fish. I get most of my monsters in February. Best of luck!

Check out the Turkey Lake report in this section, it is recent.   The best boat rental deal in the country, but you need a reservation.  No guide necessary.  Have done it many times while at an Orlando  Conference.  Turkey Lake is right next to Universal Theme Park.

When I took family to Disney World a few years ago, my son and grandson and I made arrangements to fish the Disney lakes, which we did.

Check out the fishing excursions that Disney offers.

Everyone caught bass, with son nailing a 4.5 pounder on a live shad.

Grandson had no idea what was going on but he said he had a good time in the boat.
