A meteorite hit northern Quebec, creating the crater below. I think a ring-shaped lake is wicked cool:

There is a show on netfilx called ancient apocalypses and it shows a lot of stuff like that on there.  Pretty interesting stuff really.

The island in the center is 2,020 square kilometers. It's the second largest island in the world. Those lakes in the island are vast themselves. It's an amazing place.
