BOQFishing Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I am looking at the old Daiwa 100 model on sale. I am looking at getting 2 one for throwing spinnerbaits and another for shallow diving crankbaits. Would this rod be ok for throwing those two baits? I have done some reading online and it seems the reel is smaller/maybe meant for more finesse techniques vs. power fishing? Quote
Solution swhit140 Posted December 12, 2023 Solution Posted December 12, 2023 I'd say you can use that reel for pretty much anything you want, just a matter of adjusting the brake between different lures. Quote
Bass Rutten Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I’d classify the standard tatula 100 as a power fishing reel, definitely not finesse oriented, line capacity is a clue, it would be great for spinnerbaits although I’d look to one of the sv variants if the cranks you’ll be using will be 5/16oz or lighter.
