Older Daiwa 100 model (best baits to throw with it)

I am looking at the old Daiwa 100 model on sale. I am looking at getting 2 one for throwing spinnerbaits and another for shallow diving crankbaits. Would this rod be ok for throwing those two baits? I have done some reading online and it seems the reel is smaller/maybe meant for more finesse techniques vs. power fishing?

I'd say you can use that reel for pretty much anything you want, just a matter of adjusting the brake between different lures.

I’d classify the standard tatula 100 as a power fishing reel, definitely not finesse oriented, line capacity is a clue, it would be great for spinnerbaits although I’d look to one of the sv variants if the cranks you’ll be using will be 5/16oz or lighter.
