When do the 2007s hit the stores?

Being new to baitcasting, when do the 2007 model rods, reels, and tackle get into the stores?

good question.  i was wondering the same about rods.

They started to hit the stores last month, ie. the revo, steez, zillion, etc.  They usually come out all the way to the spring.

Rods typically don't have a "year model."  Every now and then a change will be made, like a different reel seat or guides or something but the model isn't "new" most people don't even notice unless it's something drastic.

Do the prices of the 2006s get dropped?  I was about to buy a Citica but I was waiting for the 2007s and hoping the price would drop.

the citica price wont go down, there are not new ones coming out.
