Suggestions for baitcaster tatula vs curado vs slx

@Brycecover There is no SLX MGL 150. Only a70 size in SLX and both a 70 and 150 in the Curado lineup.

Oh ok thanks. So the Slx 70 mgl would only be for lighter stuff right?

@Brycecover I don’t have the answer to that question from experience as I bought a Curado MGL and had little time to use it and my JDM SLX MGL was purchased for the upcoming season but as others have stated the SLX MGL can handle a variety of situations. Read @r83srock’s description on the 2nd page as he and others have far more experience than me.

This is correct. The SLX mgl 70 is a special reel. It’s an effortless caster and excels at casting light lures but can handle flipping/pitching also. Can’t go wrong there, and in regards to comfort it’s the most palmable reel I’ve owned, very comfy! Lots of choices! 🐒

So, if I had my tatula 100 and slx mgl 71 would I need another reel for heavier lures? Or will the tatula 100 handle them fine with enough line capacity? Thank you all for the help

Curado 150 mgl or tatula sv 103. As mentioned by others, shimanos cast further but daiwas are easier to control. Skipping, tight cover flipping, , or high wind resistance baits like a spinnerbait I would chose the sv. Everything else I'd choose the mgl. In terms of durability, curado feels a bit better after 2 years of use and the fit and finish is better, my tatula has plenty of visible surface scratches. I sold my tatula 150 after a couple months because the reel is incredibly wide and does not balance well on the daiwa rods with the air sensor reel seat.

Yeah thanks. After lots of research came to the conclusion of sv for more accurate short casts and shimano for longer. Got a scorpion mgl
