Im looking for a crank bait setup.  Whats a good reel with a lower gear ratio.   Im thinking of a round baitcaster or a low profile but most of them seem to be faster on the retrieve.  What do you like to use.

You will get a wide variety of answers to this question. For deep cranks (15'+) I like a 4.7:1 or lower gear reel,it really helps the fatigue factor to have a slow ratio reel. For all other cranks,I like a 5.1:1.

I just bought a 5:1.1 from 5basslimit :)  Glad he likes it.  I still need a deep cranking reel and rod as I fish as much 15 to 18 foot hydrilla beds as I can find at Amistad.
