OSP Tiny Blitz DR running depth?

On 5 or 6lb FC, I get about 12ft on a long cast.

I turn my kayak parallel to the bank, find a depth I want on the fish finder, and cast straight ahead. I move the kayak in until it hits the bottom. It gives me a ballpark idea of what the depth is.
