Super User flyfisher Posted November 17, 2023 Super User Posted November 17, 2023 So my son and I went to see his show this week and if you don't know, he is probably the only astro physicist that people actually recognize. He basically had abotu a 2 hour presentation that went about 2hr 30minutes and it was a great show. It is nice to see people who are highly educated in a field that is complicated and complex not have that I am smarter than you feeling. I would recommend if you are into that stuff that you go see his show, it is a good time. 4 1 Quote

Super User MN Fisher Posted November 17, 2023 Super User Posted November 17, 2023 Here's something that'll blow your mind Queen's Guitarist Brian May? He has a PhD in Astrophysics. He was also one of the 'Science Team Collaborators' on the New Horizons probe of Pluto. Quote

This is all fine and probably good coffee conversation but it isn't science. 2 Quote

Super User DitchPanda Posted November 17, 2023 Super User Posted November 17, 2023 I've seen him on Joe Rogans podcast a few times discussing all manner of things.....stars, paintings, sports...seems like a very cool guy and also obviously very intelligent. From watching his interactions with Joe I agree that he doesn't come across as superior in any way because of his intellect...he was very opinionated but in no way dismissive of Joes ideas or thoughts.
