I had a small island project to do on Georgian Bay this week, and the weather finally cooperated for me to get out there.
Started out a bit chilly, as it was several deg below freezing in the morning, but warmed up nicely all day and the winds stayed fairly light. On the way back in from my job, I hit a couple deep shoals with a drop shot, and they were loaded up on them. Nothing over about 3lbs, but lots of action, and it sure was nice to get the string stretched out one last time on such a beautiful late fall day. Looks like we’re supposed to maybe start getting some decent snow squalls later next week, so the boat will be going to bed for the winter this weekend, but I sure am glad I was able to get out one last time.
