thediscochef Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 cool to see another north texas person on here. the biggest bass i've ever held in person was caught on an x-rap in mid february for whatever that's worth. I've never caught one on the same bait in the same spot. But a lot of my vision 110 fish (including my PB) came from the same lake. I'm not so sure it's as much about the jerkbait itself as much as it's about being close enough and properly situated to big bass 1 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted November 19, 2023 Super User Posted November 19, 2023 I would suggest you look at the Strike King KVD series and the 6th Sense Provoke series. They are affordable, easy to find, have decent/good hooks and huge pattern options. With sales coming up, you can afford four baits at the cost of one Vision 110 and then choose to invest in higher end options later. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted November 19, 2023 Super User Posted November 19, 2023 What do you consider small? For me it's the LC Pointer 65mm which is just a fish catching machine. Allen 1 Quote

I love those 6th sense 106x but I have had more of them break off a bill than I care to think about lol a recent find for me has been the yo-zuri 3DR-X, found one in a ghost shad color that has caught a few aggressive strikes this month Quote
Cdn Angler Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 The Shadow Rap Shad has always gotten bites for me. The Duo Realis Rozante is also a good small jerkbait, but I find it only dives like 2 feet, versus about 4 feet for the SRS, which also comes in a slow sink if you want to get it deeper. The Rapala bait doesn't look like anything special, but it gets bit. I think it must be the profile/size, which is bigger than a tiny minnow, but not as intimidating as a Vision 110. And very slender. It's also fairly cheap. Quote
