Hi Everyone,

Got a question for those that have an onboard chargers.
What kind do ya have?

How many amps per bank?

Why do you like it?

How long ya had it?

I have lead acid batteries, one for the trolling motor and a cranking battery.

I have a Cabela's Advanced Angler onboard charger for my 24 volt lead acid batteries for my bow mount and I have a Dual Pro one for my single 12 volt cranking lead acid battery.

They both came pre-installed on my boat when I bought it new in 2015, neither have had an issue.

Not sure how many amps per bank.

Mine are only good for lead acid batteries or AGM batteries.  Not suitable for lithium batteries.

NOCO Genius GEN 5x2. Handles Flooded, AGM and Lithium (I'm running AGMs at present)

Plug it in end of the day and forget it until I go out again - works as a maintainer.

This is the second year with it...so far all good.

I threw mine away, I think it was user error but it never was right. I just hook a cheap charger to a battery until it’s full then switch the gator clamps

That’s what I’m doing now, hey it works.

Not quite as convenient but fully charged with lead batteries I can fish a 12 hour day no problem. My onboard charger came with the boat and I never got it hooked up quite right, it always got hot immediately . Amateur rigging specialist here
