Hey fellas. So I am still learning about different batteries, and I purchased a smaller 15 AH batter for my graph:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PNDBSPC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have a Noco Genius10 for charging & maintaining my larger Lithium battery between trips:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W3QT226/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm wondering what the proper setting - if any - are correct on the Noco for charging the smaller battery? Is Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) a version of AGM? Will using a lithium setting / charger on an SLA battery cause damage?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

SLA and Lithiums use different internal settings for charging. I'd set the charger to AGM when connected to the SLA, while setting it to Lithium when charging the Lithium battery to prevent damage.

Looking at the Amazon listing you provided a link to for your battery.  The 5th photo provides the specs for the battery.  It says your battery is Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM).

SLA and AGM are usually the same thing.  Though, not always.  It can get confusing if you want to go deep into the weeds.  SLA describes the housing technology and AGM describes the chemistry, but most batteries labeled as SLA batteries will be AGM.  SLA can also refer to GEL batteries and regular flooded lead acid batteries with a special housing and valve that seals them off.  Though GEL batteries are typically just called GEL or GEL cell batteries not SLA, and the other kind of closed flooded lead acid batteries are usually referred to as maintenance free (a term that also applies to GEL and AGM) batteries.  It's not a well thought out system.

But, as for YOUR batter, the one in your link, that's an AGM.  So set your charger to AGM and you should be fine.  I've got a few of those batteries under different brand names, but you can tell by looking at them that they're all made in the same factory.  And they're all AGM.

I’d use the setting that just says 12V, right next to the mode switch.

That setting is for old-fashioned flooded batteries....you really have a good chance of damaging AGM/Lithiums if you use that.

You’re right, my bad. I thought SLAs were still flooded with fixed caps.

Got it - thanks fellas - I had just incorrectly assumed this was a "lithium" for some reason... just complete inexperience on my part. Really appreciate all of the feedback and help here - y'all are very generous with your time and knowledge and I appreciate it!

Have a great weekend.
