Depends on whether it's wet snow or dry snow...12" is 'average', but the heavy-wet stuff we got the other day is more like 7"-8" of snow per 1" of water.

Are those numbers inches of snow forecast?

 

 

We've had 2" of rain the past 48 hours with another inch today.  Its also 40 degrees and 15 mph sustained (gusts to 30).  Not pleasant.  But coming up... That's a spring trend I like to see.  Consistent sun, no cold overnights, and then warm rain.  Plus fishable wind.

Yes.  Many areas from central to northeast WI have received over a foot of snow since yesterday.  I believe its the same system that @A-Jay is currently experiencing in northern Michigan.

Weather forecast was for the potential of 1-3" overnight. Before dark we already had 7"!

Kept coming overnight and now it looks like they just forgot to remove the dash when they said 1-3" 😆
