We’ve gotten about 5-6” of the white stuff in the last 14-15 hrs. The snow flakes are huge! Just got the notification that school will be closed tomorrow. I’m betting with the colder temperatures tonight and the heavy wet snow today the roads will be a skating rink in the morning.

@A-Jay watching the snow totals for the next week there’s the typical small white bullseye over your kneck of the woods. Those of us in the north know what white means. 😎

We're getting typically hammered with lake effect - been coming down since 10 am.

I've already got plans to blast away whatever's there in the morning to make room for the load that's coming.  Everyday starting tomorrow and going straight through until Next Monday.

Should end up with a couple of feet anyway.

Ask me again why I have the AT4 ?

I suspect that "the beast" will be making an appearance.  For those that are not aware, the beast is a four wheel tracked snow blower that sends the white stuff into the next county.  Not to be confused with another beast named Tank.

Heading out for the 'milk & bread' right after my workout this morning.

Then we'll be hunkering down for a while.

Probably fill the wood stove just in case too.

@A-Jay That same system you posted is supposed to brush us tomorrow.  Initially it was going to completely miss us but the track has shifted slightly north and now we may get some snow out of it too.  3-5 inches last I heard.

And behind it, bitter cold.  Not good for road surfaces right after a snowfall.

Welp, this storm is going to start around 10 am tomorrow. We’re looking at 8” by 7 pm, on top of that we’re looking at 35-45 mph winds, and by Saturday night our total snowfall is predicted to be 12-14”. Starting Sunday to temps are going to plummet to almost single digit highs and close to zero for lows. Lake effect snow next week ending next weekend. By the time it’s all said and done next weekend they’re predicting 22-24” of new snow.

@MIbassyaker where are we fishing tomorrow afternoon? 😂

Ya, they keep upping our totals too

Started with 1/2" total

Then went to 2"-4"

Now they're saying 4"-8" just tomorrow.

Yeah, all my meetings are cancelled -- looks like I'm free!

My bathtub might have open water. Not much casting room, though.

Better stick with top-water lures - not much depth there either.

I’ll bring the beer and rubber duckies and we can have pitching contests!

Well the winter storm they were forecasting here most of the day never showed up.  I did not get a single flake of snow.  Weather terrorism at its finest.

I made a run this morning to stock up on essentials...and we're not even getting lake-effect flurries here.

It was 50 yesterday now -3 with wind chill. In Missouri if you don’t like the weather wait a minute it will change

Not much snow here, but it's going to be 10 degrees tonight, 20 tomorrow with 50mph winds.  Ya, that's a wind chill of -45.

Neat.

We have had close to 20in of snow since last Monday and now we have serious north winds creating hellacious drifting. Wind chill overnight is supposed to get down to -42.

I heard Iowa got slammed.  I only got about an inch of snow all week.  Both of those major storm systems went south of me.

Its gonna be butt cold for a few days though.
