fishingtx Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 These dudes just plain out suck. https://www.outdoorlife.com/conservation/walleye-cheater-accused-of-poaching-deer/ https://www.fieldandstream.com/fishing/walleye-cheater-charged-using-counterfeit-money/ What's yall's opinion? Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted October 27, 2023 Super User Posted October 27, 2023 I say bring back the public Stoning, or lapidation. A method of capital punishment where a group throws stones at a person until the subject dies from blunt trauma. It has been attested as a form of punishment for grave misdeeds since ancient times. Bet that would light up TikTok. A-Jay 1 6 Quote
MidwestBassAttack Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Doesn’t surprise me one bit with those turds! All I know is, they are lucky we live in the world we live in with the technology we have. I can almost guarantee if that happened in a world without cell phones/cameras/videos….those two would have simply “disappeared” 1 Quote
ironbjorn Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 A world without technology, the walleye are not fished for sport and the deer are hunted without regulation for food. Quote
fishingtx Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 They wouldn't have left the ramp here in East Texas. I've heard guys threaten to shoot each other dead over parking wrong during a tournament. They'd come up with some creative way to get rid of these guys.😂 1 Quote
GRiver Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Seems he’s just a cheater….. His wife has left him, she also filed stalking & harassment charges against him. Has charges of trying to pass counterfeit bills at a bowling alley. Now he is pouching deer, must be his “way of life”. Is it greed? Is it the he feels his self worth is so low, that he will cheat or steal to make people think that he has accomplished more in life. Sad. Quote

Functional Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 thats the biggest problem with just about all crime with the exception of minor infractions by actual hard working people just trying to get through life. Having cops in the family, hearing stories of crazy stuff and then hearing what they get off with is sickening. Meanwhile God forbid I sell too much with paypal or go 5mph over the speed limit. Quote
Zcoker Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Just like babies, if they can get away with it, they will! The system is problem, imho. The system basically gave them permission to do the same thing all over again! 1 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted October 27, 2023 Super User Posted October 27, 2023 The punishment does not fit the crime. It's basically a slap on the wrist. They need to get serious with cheaters penalties. 1 Quote

We all know that laws and penalties don't change over night, it takes time and there's a very slow, tedious process to it. Laws and rules can only be enforced if they are on the books, and the severity of the punishment is up to the judicial system. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted October 27, 2023 Super User Posted October 27, 2023 @gimruis I hear ya. But taking a fishing license away from a cheater is not an inconvenience because he will fish anyhow. Same thing with taking a hunters license rights away he will just poach game like he has in the past. At the very least they need to increase the dollar penalties high enough to make it hurt. 5 Quote

The American buffalo was hunted to almost extinction 200 years ago. The list goes on and on of animals who did go extinct or endangered. It human greed. I do agree with you regarding technology had changed things a lot for the worse. Humans suck in general. Some are good. 😁 3 Quote

This is just this past year 21 species have been declared extinct, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says Overall since they started keeping track - 650 species have become extinct in the US alone.
