I was thinking of using Devcon 2 Ton epoxy as my marbling base, with mica powder as the pigment.

Just trying to add some flare behind the reel seat cheap. Grateful for any input

One thing I found in marbling is to use an epoxy that sets up faster than finish.
You will need a little time to mess around with it.
I havent tried a lot of different ones but I do like FlexCoats RodBuilding Epoxy.
The Devcon looks like is might be a good match.

Okay cool, I can dig it. I'm gonna give it a go and I'll let letchya know the results.

I'm also gonna give it a go as a jig paint, epoxy and pigment - skip the painting and go right to the top coat that is already colored

I'll give it a try and let you know haha, I'm doubly using the devcon 2t as a jig head top coat so figured I'd try it for marbling.

I got a cheap rod I'm going to test it on.

I'll post results when I get the chance
