Hey folks, I've finally lost my good ol' rapala rod (which I loved by the way) and am looking to buy something new.  I'd prefer a rod sized about 5'6 for ultra light fishing (I usually go for smaller pikes, sunfish, etc).  Would appreciate it if you gave me some hints as to which set ups (rod and reel) are the most popular (budget is about 150 dollars for rod+reel).  Thanks in advance.

Thank you all for your replies.  I did hear a few rumors about st croix rods and I was hoping you'd prove them to be false.  Some people say that they break too often, true or false?  That is one sweet reel and rod combo by the way, thanks riskkid.  Also, what do you think of shimano compre CPS56ULB 5'6"?  Looked really good and it has many little guides like my old rapala rod.

Thanks

Does anyone know how many guides the 5'6 ultra light premier st croix rod has?  I think 6 + tip but just wanted to be sure.  Thanks.

Was lucky enough to buy a st croix premier 5'6 ultra light model off of ebay for 50 dollars :)  Arrived today, beautiful rod.  I think its at least two times lighter my old rapala rod heh.  Thanks to all who replied to my question.
