In past threads, so many folks have said that a purple worm is they're favourite color. It's been my best color for as long as I remember.               Most of the soft plastic makers offer they're version of purple. They vary slightly by manufacture.                             My two favourites are the Roboworm in Folkstead Special, and the original Creme Scoundrel.                            What company do you think makes the best purple?

Cuplrit's grape shad color is my ideal purple.

Fished with a 6" worm as a kid that was in that color and it always produced. Used to load up from a lady at "The Worm Bar" at a fishing show that used to sell them by the pound. Still have a small bag I save for memories and very very rare use.

Edit: Well I'll be, just googled the worm bar and they have a website now. The lady apparently sold the business and I dont see the specific worm I used to use. Shame, hope shes doing well.

The original Creme Scoundrel came in two purple colors, grape and dark grape.  The grape worm was a little more red in color and dark grape was a deeper purple.  Mann's Jelly worms had similar colors. I don't believe there has ever been a plastic worm that didn't catch bass. Here in Florida, June Bug is the most popular color by far.  Probably because our waters are darker in color with less visibility.   I tend to use Christmas (June Bug with red and green flake) because most other fishermen don't.  Truth be known, an all black worm is probably the best all around color.  An all black Zoom Trick worm is hard to beat.

Dang, that's like asking me to pick a favorite of my kids (it's Morrígan).

I don't think I've ever fished a straight up purple worm. Zoom was my gateway drug to junebug, though. Can't go wrong with it.

I like Zoom’s Junebug red, Junebug, black grape, and prevalence of purple in colors like plum, tequila sunrise, and cranberry

Candy Bug by Zoom. By a long shot. It's the candy flake (think watermelon candy) in a purple color.

I prefer violet shades of purple in lieu of darker grape tones in our clear water lakes. At night prefer darker shades of purple with blue neon or black with blue flakes. Not a fan dark red Burgundy  tone purples but...they sometimes work well!

140 shades of purple hard tp pin point a specific shade.

Hands down the prettiest soft plastic color, and as close to a "magic color" as you can get in FL. Throw in a chartreuse tail and it's lights out.

Grape Jelly Worm FTW!

Probably 75% of my plastics are variations of purple, but always dig the old school Mann’s.

Purple Westy will always have a home in my bag as well.IMG_1653.jpeg.57d84ee83b744bd4451453030f9e51cf.jpeg
