Fast....slow....I think the speed has more to do with the backbone and your particular ISP than anything else.

 

If your internet is provided by a cable company (like Mediacom), then the number of people in your neighborhood actively using the internet will affect your speed as you're all sharing a mainline.

If I commented every time the site is running great, there would be over 3,000 comments, based on me stopping by for a few minutes a couple times a day for the five years I’ve been coming here. (That’s my way of saying the site is always running great.)

 

I was curious if anyone else was seeing the freezing issues. I don’t think I’m having ISP problems, as I am constantly streaming audio when I’m visiting the site and streaming video and visiting other sites without issue, but it’s possible there is something else going on in between here and your servers.

 

I know you face a lot of negativity here, @Glenn, and I didn’t intend for my comment to sound like some of the whining I hear around here from some other users that seem to take pleasure in bashing sponsors and generally peeing in their own sandbox. I think you do a great job here, and you seem like a genuinely nice person from what I’ve seen in your videos. I appreciate all you do.

 

BTW, the site is loading exceptionally fast and snappy today! 😄

Alright, last comment on the issue. I'm not nagging, I'm trying to be helpful.

 

It happened again just now 7:39 AM EST. The page actually quit loading altogether at this point, it wasn't hung-up trying to load. After this happened, I visited a few more pages and everything worked perfectly and loaded instantly.

My comment was more of a tongue-in-cheek, ribbing you kind of comment.  Wasn't meant to sound negative.  

 

I appreciate your feedback.  It helps troubleshoot.  Your screenshots indicate it's a problem with the Google ads not loading correctly.  There's not much I can do about that because it's all on Google's servers.

I appreciate that, and no, you didn't sound like that at all.  And you're right, some people seem to get all riled up when we mention a sponsor's name.  They seem to forget sponsors make this site free. Without their support, this site wouldn't be possible.

 

We keep the spam down so y'all don't get bombarded with all kinds of crap (and it happens several times a week).  Only partners that support YOUR site are allowed to advertise. So ya, they've earned the right to be promoted here.
