If I'm going to fish water that has a healthy population of sunnies and crappie sometimes I will bring the UL with me in case the bass bite is slow.  Three years ago I caught a 2-1/2 lb bass on a 1/16 oz. spinner bait.  That was the only bass I caught that day.
