Super User Dwight Hottle Posted October 6, 2023 Super User Posted October 6, 2023 Hall of fame linebacker Dick Butkus died today. He was one of the very best linebackers to ever play in the NFL. A true classic defensive players that all offense players feared. May he RIP. 4 5 Quote

Global Moderator Mike L Posted October 6, 2023 Global Moderator Posted October 6, 2023 40-20 This ones for MR Butkus! Thanks Dick Mike 3 Quote
Eric 26 Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 I like many others didn’t hear the news until the game was being played. Although I was but a child when Butkus was a player I’ve seen enough film of him to realize that most of the great linebackers that played for the Bears (and we’ve had our fair share of greats) realized Butkus set a standard of how the position should be played. 2 Quote
