KP Duty Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 A Yamamoto Pro (don't remember his name) said he would fish the 6" or 8" grub on a 1oz football head and 'just reel it as fast as I can'. He said it would produce a vapor trail of silt and ricochet off rocks/laydowns. This was before 8+ speed reels, but you get the idea. The Yamamoto 6" grub was my 'worm' for several years before they discontinued it. Quote
Buzzbaiter Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Grinding a lipless crankbait along rocks can be money. I supposed it plays into the same ideas as a swinghead. However, you’re going to snag if you have wood on the bottom. In that case, I would use a squarebill or just swim a swim jig along the bottom. 1 Quote
