volzfan59 Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Been fishing for decades and really enjoy finesse style fishing. New to the screw head jigs like the Megabass Okashira screw head jigs. When and where do you use them? Thank you Quote
Big Swimbait Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Small 3" - 4" swimbaits when they are feeding on shad. 1 Quote

Solution Jmurphy87 Posted September 25, 2023 Solution Posted September 25, 2023 I have used them a few times over the years, I used 2.8-3.2 size baits. I worked shallow flats with a stop and go retrieve, steady slow retrieve. I used to pitch them into pockets where drainage pipes met the weed beds and let them flutter to the bottom and then lift the rod tip and let it sink back down. I did pretty good with them when I used them. I hope this helps you out. 2 Quote

Yes - but throw in a pause every now and then and let it flutter like a dying baitfish. If they don't hit it on the fall, they will hit it when you start the retrieve again thinking it's getting away. 1 Quote
Super User GreenPig Posted September 26, 2023 Super User Posted September 26, 2023 I slow roll them close to the bottom on deep humps for Spots. 1 2 Quote
waymont Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 I like them in the middle and near bottom of the water column, with a slowish retrieve with pauses. Usually on 6 and 8lb test to let them wobble. 1 Quote
