I just read in bassmaster that shimano is making the 100d in a deep spool. That is awsome I cant wait to get a few. I have a curado 100 right now and love it. But always wanted a curado with that gear ratio and line capcity for spinners and frogs. So when is this thing going to come out.

hey tip if your tossin a spook you may want to get a bigger reel .... i like the chronarch reels but there is a new cu in the 200,201 size that may be a better way to get the line cap you need  ;)

Well the 100D only holds 12/85 14/70 and they sure don't measure capacity with XT... I personally like more than 50 yds of line in my reel... if I have to cut and retie once, I'll have to respool.

So the DSV is an option for those who like the size and weight of that reel but don't fish light line or braid.

Another big plus for braid in my book, more line capacity on small spooled reels. JMHO

well heres what you have,,,, the 200/201 cu d

will hold 110yds of 14lb test .... this reel is avibale in the 5.0:1 and the 7.0:1 retrives ... and weights 9.8 oz .....

now the 300 d

will hold 190yds of 14lb ,,, 120yds of 20lb

this reel comes with a 6.2:1 and weights 10.5 oz ....

bolth look like good choices ..... ill be buyin that cu 300 .... i need a new swimbait reel and at this time that 300 fits the bill.....

also if your tossin spooks you may want to go to braid .... it is a good top water line .... this way you could save your self the bucks ... just a thought
