Gbo1990 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 So I just bought a 22 Bantam 7 speed a few days ago an im just wanting to know what techniques everyone uses there’s for? I’ve seen on other posts that people like to use it for throwing crankbaits. I don’t throw cranks very often but I do occasionally. Other than crankin what other techniques would be a good fit? Just like to see what other’s opinions are an any feedback is greatly appreciated! Quote
Super User Darth-Baiter Posted September 21, 2023 Super User Posted September 21, 2023 I’m using mine for my heavier jig rod. Where I fish I need a long caster to to reach bass that haven’t seem me. It pitches fine too, so it’s gonna work out. Quote
Junger Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I have the XG, I use it for frogging. Quote
scbassin Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I use it for Texas rigs & Carolins rigs, spinnerbaits & buzzbaits, jigs, Frogs & Toads. You have made a very good choice. I use a slower speed reels for crank baits Quote

FM ^^This^^ I find anything from 1/4oz to 2.5oz feels right at home. Under a 1/4oz might be possible but the rods I have it mounted on can't load that low. The only thing to consider is winter fishing, the aluminum sucks the heat right out of your hand. scott Quote
