I have a Phenix ML rod, and I’m looking for something with a little more stiffness. Anyone have both to compare the power of each?

thx

I can't directly answer your question but have a 6'10 med Cashion Core and it runs a little stiffer then some of my other mediums.

It's also my most used and favorite rod I own.

I don't own either so take my opinion with a grain of salt but I have researched both of these rods a good bit and it sounds like all the Phenixes run a little soft and the cashions are a little more true to their rating. I saw a video of a guy comparing the Dobyns Sierra ultra finesse, Phenix feather (light power, not the ML that you have) and the Cashion bfs rod and he said the Cashion is definitely the beefiest of the 3. In your case, I would bet the Cashion ML is stiffer than the Phenix ML

Found this in a search. How do you like it? I'm looking for a ML casting rod ND the Cashion and Phenix are two I'm interested in.

Thanks!

I ordered the Phenix BFS and didn't like it at all. It's a beautiful rod but the extra fast tip wasn't for me. Lost fish like crazy on it

Thanks.  I want to throw finesse jigs using my old Pixy, but I'd rather have a slower tip.  Appreciate the feedback.

Cashion is definitely the better choice. Good luck

I have the Cashion 6'10" and the 7'0" and I really like them both. The 7'0" is great with moving baits and the other I use for soft plastics. Both of them have been a lot of fun to fish with

I have the TW exclusive UL and the 7'6 L. They definitely have fast actions and are stiff or crisp. I'm not sure how to describe. I have other UL rods that kind of bounce around when I walk with them while the Cashion UL doesn't. I'd imagine the ML probably has a similar stiffness as the UL and L
