For those fishers/golfers...Looking for recommendations.

I'm not sure this is the appropriate forum, but I didn't want to limit recommendations to certain areas.  Anyhow, I'm turning 50 next year and wanted to do enjoy two of my favorite hobbies- Golf and Bass fishing.   I currently reside in California and would be willing to hop on a plane.  If there is a certain state or area you guys can recommend that would be great.  Something like the Troubadour Club in Tennessee sounds enticing.  A championship golf course where they also let players fish after hours.

Florida probably has more golf courses and fishing opportunities than any other State.  From my experience you can do both, but you can only be great at only one at a time. ?

Not a golfer, but a deer hunter…I chase Muley’s near this place.  Beautiful.

Valentine National Wildlife refuge has some good bass fishing.

 

You are probably better off heading to Florida.

There is a really nice track in northern MN near Biwabik called Giant's Ridge.  They have two 18-hole championship courses there, the Legend and the Quarry.  I have played both and you WILL lose a lot of golf balls there as each hole is cut right through the heavy Minnesota northwoods timber.

 

Nearby there is Lake Vermilion.  It has tremendous smallmouth, walleye, and muskie fishing.  Should be less busy in the fall too.

What I would do is choose one and go all out with the very best to make it the best experience possible, rather than trying to crunch both into a trip and not getting the best of either world. Either head to the best course and club you can find and afford in the country, or book a guided trip with a top notch guide on one of the best fisheries. A-Jay's days long Mexico guided trips come to mind. Something like that. Good luck.

Mexico has many places with great golf and great saltwater fishing.  Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, to name a few.  Mazatlán has fantastic bass fishing with lodging and guides an hour away.

Has anyone ever fished Yamamoto's farm?  There are tons of courses in Texas as well and seem like fishing his pond would be a sure thing given its size.

I’m not a golfer but Oakmont and then Erie is a combo that I’d take up golf for. Pick May next year and pair 5 lb smallies with par 5’s.

I don’t in know anything about golf. I have been to stonewall Jackson in wv and at the resort they have a golf course right at the lake.it’s an Arnold Palmer course is all I know. I would have to agree with @Captain Phil might be your best bang for your buck for both.

Another great course right on Lake Vermilion is the Wilderness at Fortune Bay, fishing, golf and gambling all at one place.
