I have a chance to pick up a Gander Moutain Vortex 1000rh reel, brand new in box with all paperwork for $30.00. According to whomakesit.com the reel was made by either Diawa, Abu-Garcia, Shimano, or Lews......anyone ever use one of these reels, and if so what did you think? Worth the $30.00?

I bought a Vortex 3000 size spinning reel when GM was liquidating their merchandise, think I it was $15.00. Got it as an emergency spare. Seemed like a nice reel although I never used it. I think I ended up giving it away. I don't think that you got hurt at all.
