SteveKickinBass Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I'm new to this rod blank thing and I just wondered where you can get these? Quote
Schaefer Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Some, but not very many fishing stores carry them in stock. I have a "Fishing World" where I live and they carry a few St Croix blanks. It's pretty cool to see totaly bare fishing rod. You would most likely have to order them directly from the manafacture or a fishing retailer that deals that specific rod. i.e. G-Loomis dealer, St Croix Dealer. Quote
Super User flechero Posted November 7, 2006 Super User Posted November 7, 2006 There are tons of places that carry blanks. if you go to wwwrodbuilding.org and look on the left side of the page at the sponsor list, most of them are suppliers that carry blanks. Mud hole and Angler's Workshop are 2 of the larger ones with a large selection of blanks. If you need any specific recommendations, feel free to shoot me a PM. Quote

Don't feel bad, I have to order everything I use for building. When I lived in Dallas, there was one store (well there used to be 2 or 3, in the 80's) that carried blanks and supplies but they only carried cheap blanks. And that store has since quit carrying blanks. Quote
BassnJoe Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I know that Cabela's carries some rod blanks. And...you can find them on ebay, also. Joe 8-) Quote
