I wasn't all that impressed with them but I have only used them a couple times i am sure a few people here will like them.

I use them but I have not on a Fat Ika yet. I use them when I throw weightless baits, toads, senko's etc. They do hold the bait on the hook better. I think I paid $3.25 for 5 though.

I have been using the skip gap hooks occasionaly since they first came out and they work great for 4 and 5 in Senkos and lizards but I don't care for them with Fat Ikas.  My favorite hook for the Fat Ika is either a 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu or a 5/0 G-Lock Gamakatsu.

The price you quoted is about double or what I usually pay for them.  I think a pay around $2.50 for a 5 pack.

Like others, I really like them and the way they hold the bait on.  BPS sells them for $2.99 for pack of 5.  I have to get them there since no one locally has started carrying them.

i bought them because i thought they might be good for the fat ikas.

They just don't work for me. I keep missing hooksets with these hooks. I don't think they let the bait push down out of the way enough. I'd recommend sticking with the regular wide gaps

I just bough a pack to try.  I know a few people who swear by them.  They dont look like the gap is hardly wide enough to fish the IKA.  But I'm just saying it I could be wrong.  I got my first pack of Fat Ika this week and all it done is Rain and rain and rain.  If it is still coming down tomorrow rain or shine i'm going.  I have to try my new bait the suspence is killing me.
