BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 5, 2023 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 5, 2023 The Seviin GF reel sure looks good on the new St. Croix Mojo rod. You can even see the slight purple tint on the rod! https://bit.ly/483RNSS 5 Quote
dmiles Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 i have become somewhat of a collector, this is really nice looking setup. how does it feel? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 6, 2023 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 6, 2023 It's very comfortable in the hand. It's slightly tip-heavy, but not too much. The reel is butter-smooth. 1 Quote
oncewas Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Does the size make it easy to palm. I don't see a size reference on their site. Quote
Super User islandbass Posted September 7, 2023 Super User Posted September 7, 2023 Their spinning reels look sick. I am looking into adding a surf fishing set up to my arsenal and those salt water reels look bad freakin’ a$s. And then I see that the bc reel is only $120? My bait monkey has been dormant for years and now my brain is already scrambling to find excuses and justifications for a bc reel and I’m starting hear whispers. Evil ?, lol ? Quote
dmiles Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 I did some Google on seviin reel because I never heard of them. They look like they are owned by st croix rods 3 Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted September 7, 2023 Super User Posted September 7, 2023 ^ Uh - ya....St Croix's social media posts have been giving this info out since the start...like the latest post by St Croix on FB. "SEVIIN shares St. Croix DNA and was born from the same. SEVIIN is a St. Croix brand, established and completely backed by the full resources of St. Croix Rod." Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 7, 2023 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 7, 2023 No need to get sarcastic. Seviin is a new brand, just introduced in Mid-July. It takes time to get the word out. Seviin is a brand of parent company St. Croix. They've been working on the reels for years. Seems they did such a good job of keeping it under wraps that now it's hard to get the word out. LOL! Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted September 7, 2023 Global Moderator Posted September 7, 2023 @islandbass well you said his name (I’m not saying his name) so it looks like you’re buying one! Congrats! ? 1 1 Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted September 7, 2023 Super User Posted September 7, 2023 I don't have to say his name. He just comes looking for me. I thought it was bad when he was making me buy bass gear... The recent muskie gear attack has been a rough one, to the tune of around 2K in about six weeks. 1 1 Quote

Super User islandbass Posted September 7, 2023 Super User Posted September 7, 2023 @12poundbass I probably will be. ?? Normally as a general rule, my reels need to do double duty for salmon and bass so usually 200 sized reels. But I think I have enough reels in the arsenal to make an “exception” to this tenet. I was also told I need a true jig rod too. ??? 1 Quote
