Hey y'all,

I don't consider myself to be a very simple person, and I haven't met many people that share some of the same personality characteristics as me. I get along with lots of folks and have a few friends but no one is kinda like me. A dude just showed up to work. This dude, is. He does not fish, but we do have a fair bit in common. He is also an engineering major, also loves metal music and shares my passion for the band TOOL, he's a little quirky same as me but still a pretty confident guy. I don't know how to explain it, but this guy shares about 50% of my personality. We're gonna go out to Austin this weekend with some folks for a concert/night life sorta deal and I have a feeling it will be a good time.

Have you ever met someone that is a lot like you? Is it easier for you than it is me? Lol.

This guy's awesome. If he was a girl and pretty, I'd date him, lmao

Have you ever met someone that is a lot like you? Yes, I've met alot of hard-headed people.

Is it easier for you than it is me? Probably, there's alot of hard-headed folks.

If he was a girl and pretty, you'd date him? Man it's 2023, you do what makes you happy.

If I would have hung out with people like me especially about ten years ago it would not have been good. Nothing would have been a bad idea. Hospital or jail bound would have been likely.

I would say most of my friends over lap about 20%. 50% for me would not be good lol. Sounds to be like you’re in the honey moon phase of a  bromance.

I get that. I told my best friend back before we both got married (to women) that if.he was a chick I'd marry him. Lol. We also both love metal, a lot the same interests (literature, philosophy, shared religious views, etc.). He's become a brother to me over the years. We both stood in each other's weddings, and he's the guy I go to if I need someone to talk to.

Hopefully this new friendship of yours can turn in to someone even half as beautiful as mine did!

Also, TOOL rocks!

Cherish friendships new and old, or one day you’ll look around and no one’s there.

The first guy that comes to mind passed away about a year ago. That was a great friend.
I'm pretty close with my current fishing buddy but he's a little more stoic than I am. I think I have more close friends than most guys, and I try not to take that for granted. I've found myself making more friends who are women recently. which is not a complaint or a problem, just occasionally dodgy with the GF lol
