The Rapala scissors have worked well for me also. Price is right and available at my local wally world.

I use a pair of side cutter pliers. They cut braid cleanly and double as hook cutters for those times you need to, you know, cut the end of a hook off for some reason. :wink2:

I use my teeth for 12lb and under fluoro and mono and my Leatherman for braid.

Put me in the Cuda braided line scissors group.  I also have some little nippers that work great as well.

Knife.  Hold the tag end and knot in one hand and slide the knife through the loop between the two.  Even a fairly dull knife will cut braid well.  Scissors only tend to work when sharp, and they're a lot more difficult to sharpen.  Especially small ones.

I've tried several different ones - and these are the ones I've settled on

Cuda 3" Titanium Bonded Micro Scissors

Amazon has them for less than 1/2 Cuda's price

Agreed. After years of bouncing between different brands, I found these to be the best.

I’ve used the Rapala braided line scissors with success; however they’re black & get lost in the boat.  Solved that problem by getting a can of fluorescent Orange spray paint & painting the handles of my scissors & pliers.  Works well.

Victorinox classic or rambler.  I use them a million times a day.

They are easy to always have in your pocket, and I buy half a dozen at a time from ebay sellers who buy confiscated knives by the pound from the TSA.
