Super User whitwolf Posted August 6, 2023 Super User Posted August 6, 2023 I had a stroke on labor day Sunday of 2022. I haven't fished since that day. I worked my tail off for the last 11 months and finally got the release to go fish. There are restrictions but with time they will go away. The main thing is I have to have a butt seat to lean on, have one other person on the boat, and wear a pfd at all times. Also, for now a five hour time limit. No big deal. Me and Levi fished from 4AM to 9AM. It was slow. I didn't care. lol I was thrilled to be back out! We caught a total of 6. 5 very small Largemouth and a decent Smallmouth. The Largemouth were on crankbaits and the Smallmouth on a Deep Creek Lures 8" eel in Black/Shad. I lost a good Largemouth at the boat, but that's fishing. All in all a great morning! I think if you show your biggest bass you should show your smallest. Be proud of them all! lol 18 1 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted August 6, 2023 Super User Posted August 6, 2023 Good for you. Keep on keeping on. I’ve been down that same road. Mine was Jine 1, 2016. I have only a couple of residual effects left. 1 Quote

Kirtley Howe Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Glad you made it back. The fishing, aside from being good for your mental health is also good physical therapy. Keep at it and things will only get better. Stay safe out there. 2 Quote
