Super User Solution Tennessee Boy Posted July 27, 2023 Super User Solution Posted July 27, 2023 I’ll take our weather back from you as soon as the Texas boys take theirs back from us. 1 2 Quote
Super User gim Posted July 27, 2023 Super User Posted July 27, 2023 It is nasty out there today. The words tropical, oppressive, and swampy come to mind. Relief coming by Saturday though, thankfully. Quote
you Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 It's easy to fish in that kind of heat if you just leave the boat at home. Hard to cast while swimming, though. 1 Quote

Super User DitchPanda Posted July 27, 2023 Super User Posted July 27, 2023 111 heat index here. Not a great day to be working in a running biofuel plant. Quote
Super User LrgmouthShad Posted July 27, 2023 Super User Posted July 27, 2023 I read the weekly fishing report for my local lake and it basically just said “Yeah so this is probably starting to sound like a broken record but the weather is still the same - it’s hot as heck - so until something changes, nothings changed.” Lol I am simply not used to this kinda constant heat 1 Quote
Super User Bird Posted July 28, 2023 Super User Posted July 28, 2023 But you gotta fish next Tuesday - Wednesday......full moon. Thinking is suppose to cool down a little. Quote
throttleplate Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Here in fargo nd its hot, but it is helping my wifes native philippine vegetable plants to thrive as they like it hot. Quote
volzfan59 Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Heck Ken, I didn't realize that we sent our temps north. Our actual high temps here in south AR have been 100+ all week. Not sure about the feels like. Not gonna try and sugarcoat it, this blows. 1 1 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted July 28, 2023 Super User Posted July 28, 2023 I wanted to go fishing today (in Texas). The fish were on top. Surrounded by tartar sauce ? Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted July 28, 2023 Global Moderator Posted July 28, 2023 It is……… July…….. what did you think would happen??? 2 Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted July 28, 2023 Author Super User Posted July 28, 2023 @TnRiver46 - Russ, that average of 13 is for the entire summer - May-September...we're only 60% through the season and already have 50% more 90+ days for the year...gods only know what we'll end up with. Quote

That's what I thought would happen. Unlike the southern part of the country, summer time is generally pretty nice here. You can keep your triple digit heat indexes down there as far as I'm concerned. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted July 28, 2023 Global Moderator Posted July 28, 2023 Y’all get ready……. It will be cold and snowy this winter. And totally shock everyone Maybe one day the weather will be exactly like it was last year and just how humans prefer it…….. I wouldn’t count on it . The woolly mammoth did and look what happened to his rear end 1 Quote

That's what our winters are. 20 degrees and an inch of snow doesn't bother me. A heat index of 105 does. The annoying part is that we now go directly from winter to summer and spring is like 2 weeks long. Its almost nonexistent. Cold with a mountain of snow to bone dry hot parched summer. #vanishingspring Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted July 28, 2023 Global Moderator Posted July 28, 2023 Maybe you should send a letter to Mother Nature and tell her you are disgruntled. Might wanna wear a helmet outdoors after she reads your letter tho 1 2 Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted July 28, 2023 Super User Posted July 28, 2023 Mammoth Mountain has “spring skiing” until mid August. And where’s the sympathy for the folks in Phoenix? 2 Quote

LOL I saw they were making a novelty of it on the 4th of July. Everyone out there in shorts and t shirts skiing down the slopes. Is the snow still really there? Hard to imagine given how hot its been. Quote
