DanC Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Do power poles and Raptors have a way to tilt them down to get under low bridges? Or can you deploy them half way? Sometimes I go under bridges that are low enough that I have to take my seat pedestals down to get under. Will this no longer be possible with shallow water anchors? Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted July 23, 2023 Super User Posted July 23, 2023 There is a tilt bracket available for the Talons. I use them getting in & out of my garage. Works great. Check them out here ~ https://minnkota.johnsonoutdoors.com/us/shop/accessories/shallow-water-anchor/talon-tilt-bracket A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User Solution GaryH Posted July 25, 2023 Super User Solution Posted July 25, 2023 Just deploy them so they’re lower than your outboard. I’m sure you’re not going to try if the outboard will hit. Same thing I have to do to enter or leave my garage 1 Quote
NYBasser Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Yes, basically what GaryH said, you can decide how much you want to lower/raise the power poles depending on how long you hold the up/down buttons for. I can't comment on the raptors as I've never used them but I can't imagine they'd be any different from power poles. Quote

Honestly wish I had an 8 foot garage door instead of a 7 footer though. My talon sits about an inch too high so I fold it down before going in or out. Mine is attached via a sandwich bracket. I think they make a 15 foot talon now so I’m sure that would sit even higher than 12 foot models. 1 Quote
Deephaven Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 I would have bought the 15' talon, but I'd have to fold it to get in the garage. Quote
