The Bison football team plays in the low level Missouri valley football conferance and is having attendance problems at the fargodome. Fans here are bored with playing low level schools and the school is afraid to lose more fans to a pro type football program even though its played months apart but you need to figure in season tickets and such. Go to any store and you see bison gear being sold and the bison would then be up against usfl gear. I myself do not ever watch the bison play on tv, the fargodome, or the radio, and am not interested in any thing bison football untill they switch to a higher level conferance with more branded name schools to get me to watch. Of course this would cost the school big money to switch conferances and the university claims they cant afford it as even academic attendance has decreased. Hey its fargo what do you expect a Taylor Swift concert every year at the fargodome, hey @gimruisshe actually was here in 2015. 1 Quote

Guess I didn't even realize they were having attendance issues there. They've been so dominant over the past decade that the fan base has become spoiled with anything less than greatness.  I've never been to a game there myself. It seems like a passionate, dedicated fanbase. I have several co-workers who went there in college and they are still Bison fans. detroit1 Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 J. Brick -Â the Lions defense is okay. They addressed the defensive backfield before the season started but 1 guy got hurt and the other only played 2 games. OC Johnson said today he's coming back to Detroit. A big no to Seattle and Washington, he wants to win a "big game". (my words)Â I am feeling a little better now. 1 Quote

Good news for the Lions and I hope Goff and management can get his situation sorted out as well. Quote
Super User Bird Posted January 31, 2024 Super User Posted January 31, 2024 Completely unbiased and I mean it. Â Baltimore is the best team that lost, Lamar is a clone of Dak Prescott. Â AND no doubt that KC and Swifty win the SB.......no doubt. Quote

Take a look at Elway’s playoff record until he finally won his 2 Super Bowls. Was Jim Kelly comparable to Dak? Your comment doesn’t really hold water.  Quote

Elway and Kelly were actually getting to Super Bowls. Dak and Lamar are losing at home to underdogs and haven't sniffed a SB. 2 Quote
NavyToad Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 @Bird I think that as many times as Elway went to the playoffs/Super Bowl and lost before he finally won would be considered as Dak-like. He got his redemption, but it took his entire career to get there. Lamar has been a starter for 5 years. It took Elway 14 years to win a Super Bowl. At this point in his career I consider Lamar a success so far. Was Marino a bum? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 1, 2024 Super User Posted February 1, 2024 I would compare Elway to Allen before any other QB without looking at any playoff records. 2 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 1, 2024 Global Moderator Posted February 1, 2024 ^pretty good comparison, both probably got voted most likely to helicopter into the end zone trying to hurdle a defender in their high school year books  id compare Lamar to Mike Vick. The moves Lamar can make are jaw dropping but when it counted he just tried to stay in the pocket 1 Quote

Doesn't mean they didn't have a good season. Take a look at their body of work as a whole this season. They both had fantastic seasons, even if it ended with a thud. And minus the other team in the Super Bowl with a guy named Mahomes, I'd be willing to bet that just about any other team in the league would take either one of them as their QB next season.  They're realistically gonna both finish in the top 3 as MVP candidates, along with Brock Purdy. 1 Quote
throttleplate Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 Lamar has low td pass totals throughout his career, he needs to work on the passing game and should have stuck with the run game against the chiefs. Which is more of a coaching decision more than it is on him on his low td totals because the coaching knows he is not a good passing qb.                                                                                       Quote

RipzLipz Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Seems Mahomes Sr. was either celebrating an early Kelce/Swift wedding or Super Bowl victory.  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39460077/patrick-mahomes-sr-arrested-texas-dwi-charge Quote
Super User senile1 Posted February 5, 2024 Super User Posted February 5, 2024 @RipzLipz  It is the "3rd or More" designation that is bothering me. Sounds like Mahomes Sr. has a problem with getting behind the wheel after a few drinks on a regular basis.  Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted February 5, 2024 Global Moderator Posted February 5, 2024 The Mahomes family is a train wreck. At the rate they’re going, they’re going to make Honey BooBoo’s family look like the Cleavers. 😂 4 Quote
