My Niners will clean some things up look to get the win in Minnesota on Monday night. I was able to watch the final 10 minutes of this game. Some really sketchy penalties called on both sides that kept drives alive, IMO. Bigger issues could be brewing for SF though. Both McCaffrey and Deebo are injured, and it is unknown how much time they will miss at this point. Those are some gaping holes in the offense. You could argue they are the two most explosive offensive players they have too. If they both miss time, there will be more pressure on Purdy. He's done an admirable job thus far, but he has not had to deal with the losses of his offensive weapons yet. I also was not really expecting the Eagles to lose either. They had a 14-3 lead on the Jets and ended up losing 16-14 after 4 turnovers doomed them. I am in an office NFL Eliminator Challenge with 5 other people and by virtue of both the 49ers and Eagles losing, plus the Dolphins winning, I have emerged victorious as the lone individual standing after week 6. Beer money! 2 Quote

Super User Bird Posted October 17, 2023 Super User Posted October 17, 2023 Interesting year so far. I'd rank Miami #1 thus far, that speed 😳 and Tua throwing darts. #2 SF Injuries to Deebo and CMC are concerning....... Purdy looked very average without them. #3 Philly has their share of issues, new OC has Hurts playing like Mac Jones, sorry. But the D-line and O-lline are top tier. #4 Detroit Goff is having a stellar year. 1 Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted October 17, 2023 Super User Posted October 17, 2023 @Bird I agree. Mike McDaniel is an offensive mad scientist that uses his players speed to put the opposing defense into a match up disadvantage. I know it sounds simple, but he does it to great effect. Miami’s defense isn’t talked about enough. The Niners will be alright until CMC and Debo are fully healthy. Jennings, Ronnie Bell, Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell should expect to carry a bigger load offensively, the Niners defense has to pressure Cousins all day and force some turnovers. Those thoughts also in response @gimruis above thoughts on Monday’s game. As for Philly, it was nice to see them on the other side of things, as surprising as it was. From my small sample size, they don’t have much of a run game. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Hurts dropping back to pass 35+ or him running is a recipe for disaster over the course of a season. And yes, it’s nice to see Geoff and Detroit have some long overdue success. 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted October 17, 2023 Super User Posted October 17, 2023 Apparently Trent Williams is also hurt and may miss the game. He’s arguably the best left tackle in the league. Quote

Super User Bird Posted October 18, 2023 Super User Posted October 18, 2023 @gimruis I can't think of a better LT than Williams. If we erase all injuries, lots of good teams with many " Dallas, Miami, SF ", I'd like to see Miami vs Niner SB and it's not far fetch. 1 Quote

No i am not a queens fan,. Thanks for the support, throttle. Wishful thinking IMO. All 4 of their losses have been by 7 points or less. They are competitive, they just turn the ball over way too much. Last season they went 11-0 in one-possession games (other than the playoff game). I knew that was unsustainable. The Lions are going to run away with the division. Restore the roar. 1 Quote
throttleplate Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 i am hoping the packers lose all remaining games, i am not a jordan love fan and am hoping for a high draft pick next year. Also hoping for a Lafluer and Barry firing at the end of the season. Quote

Super User J._Bricker Posted October 22, 2023 Super User Posted October 22, 2023 @gimruis, Niners will roll with what we got and should be good. Bye week in a couple so I guess the team is trying to get everyone healthy, especially the hairline fracture to Debo’s shoulder. Quote
Super User gim Posted October 23, 2023 Super User Posted October 23, 2023 Well I tried to watch the Lions/Ravens game today but it was so lopsided by the half that I went outside to do yard work instead. Quote
throttleplate Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 i dislike the patriots 110% but i was watching that game for this reason, belicheck getting heat for his crappy offense and quarterback mac jones being ripped badly. I was pullng for mack jones and he got the win. 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 23, 2023 Super User Posted October 23, 2023 Dolphins have played two quality teams and had two quality losses.....Eagles still don't look good but they are winning and that is what matters. Hurts needs to get it together and stop turning the ball over because while the defense is good, they can't be expected to always be the savior of the team, especially with all that talent on offense. 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted October 23, 2023 Super User Posted October 23, 2023 I agree, the Dolphins record and gaudy stats this season were mostly a result of playing a weak schedule. 3 Quote
Eric 26 Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 Somebody explain what the heck happened to the Bills 🤔 The small sample I was able to watch they looked completely befuddled. On the other hand as much as I’m a quiet defender of Justin Fields my beloved Bears better give Tyson Bagent a shot at proving this wasn’t just a fluke. The young man seems poised, confident and able to read the defense quickly and effectively. 2 Quote

But it’s still Fields team, one good showing isn’t enough considering they didn’t let him go deep at all. Bringing in the 3rd guy to throw a 50 yd Hail Mary says a lot! What they did do is let him play in himself with no expectations. He makes for a great “feel good” story But the best of it is they won and that “Team from Wisconsin” lost… Good enough for me Mike 1 Quote
Eric 26 Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 @Mike L Please don’t think I’m saying anything crazy about Justin Fields, I was left wanting to see more is all😉 1 Quote

Outcoached, outschemed, what else to say. Terrible play calling, IMO. QB17 looked so much better in 2nd half, but yet again, too late to win the game. Defense - tha heck?! I know we have 5 starters out, but next man up? Is there a next man? Is it obvious I'm depressed? 2 Quote
