@Bandersnatch Where did you see the SLX 150 MGL? I just searched and nothing came up about this?

I had owned the previous SLX and just recently purchased a Curado 151 MGL and truth be told I feel the SLX was a bit smaller probably due to the lack of external adjustment. I could be off base and truth be told I’m really regretting selling off the SLX. I’m interested in the current SLX MGL but it’s more a want definitely not a need? and until I feel it in hand I’m not pulling the trigger. My biggest hang up is the line capacity which is actually all in my head?

naw…. The slx mgl is a need …..and a want.  :)     Great reel.  I enjoy it more than the curado 70 mgls I had and sold off both of those.   Didn’t see the value of the curado 70 mgls over the slx mgl.

I made a mistake. It’s just the 150 a. Do we know if it’s the same compact frame as the new 150 curado mgl?

The SLX A is just the standard SLX but with the addition of Silent Tune. Different frame than the Curado 150 MGL, and lacking things like MGL spool, cross carbon brakes, SVS Infinity, Micro Module gears, etc.

Still a great reel at $99 IMO.

The SLX MGL 150 would out sell any Shimano in that class. Shimano knows it, and therefore won't produce one. The SLX MGL 70 outdoes the Curado MGL 70.
