I’m looking at the 7’ med tatula cork spinning rod. It’s rated at 1/8-3/4oz. Where’s the sweet spot in this rod? What techniques is it good for? is it a stiff rod? I throw a little bit of everything ina lighter range of about 3/16 to 1/2 oz

I fished one and its a great all around spinner. I think the ML is a great rod for light stuff like drop shot, neds, and the M was a better popper, worms, jerkbait rod. Its not a super stiff rod. I found it just right.

In your range it will be perfect. It’s a really great rod. Small jigs 1/8-1/4, light t rigs, weightless worms, poppers, minnow baits….what ever you want in the weight range.

It’s not overly stiff. It’s a perfect medium spinning rod.
