Just purchased a boat and need to replace the handle, but I am having a time finding one for some reason.  Here is a pic of what it looks like.  It still works, just have to do it with 2 hands right now.  I will get a better picture and upload it tonight.

2007 Bass Tracker 175 tx pro team

50hp Mercury 2stroke 3cyl

Thanks

Generic can be questionable, buy Merc makes controls everyday but probably not cheap.  From what I have heard, they are having a tough time keeping up with production of outboards.  My local dealer tells me big motors, over 250 hp can have up to a year delivery time.  Smaller 40-100 hp can have a three month backlog, so control parts could be the same.

I would rather buy Merc also, unless I found a good aftermarket one.  I have an idea now to start searching, but need to get the numbers off the Merc to make sure :)

Check to see if you have any marine salvage yards in your area, while they are few and far between, they rarely advertise so you might find one out there.

No salvage yards, just 2 marine shops, but I will check and see though :)  One specializes in bass trackers too.

Called both which are near me and they have to order it from their dealers.  Here is the link I found contacting their reps.

I just need the top handle, but it looks like mercury may sell it as a handle kit only.

There is a salvage yard near me that sells on ebay also.  You might call them.  Marine Liquidators Cumming, GA 770-888-2628.
