As the title says… for those of you that have a steez a2.     What applications are you using it for?   What line? What rod?

currently got one.  I feel like it’s ok.  Maybe I’m not using it right.  It’s nice but I feel like the zillion sv and zillion hd that I have are up there as well.   Was kinda hoping for a little more out of it given the bit higher price tag.

Using it on an Orochi XX Tour Versatile with 16lbs Seaguar R18 LTD….

At some point I’d like to try a steez, I own two zillions. If history is a teacher I’ll assume the masses will rave about the zillion. I myself own all daiwa except one. Shimano Metanium mgl b and that’s my favorite reel. Curious as well what people use the steez for.

Mine is collecting dust at the moment. I rotate it in every now and then but feel similar to you about it in that it's just okay. It's really the frame of it that I don't like. Such a dumb shape imo, wish they would retire this frame. It's about 10 years too old. Other than that I like the reel and I don't really like Daiwas across the board. I'd prob entertain selling it if anyone is interested lol

My Steez is also collecting dust. It gets used so rarely that I don't have a dedicated application for it. Rod is a Dobyns DX 743 with 12lb Maxima Ultragreen on it that I use as a general purpose rod when it gets into the rotation.

I have one on my big jig/swimbait rod. I like it but I dont see much of a difference between that and my Zillion.

I have two. The 6.x:1 is used for crankbaits and the 7.x:1 is used for Texas rigged soft plastic. I like both but as others have stated it is marginally better than the Zillion.  It does, to me, cast further and is a bit smoother but I might actually like how the Zillion palms better.

Been using my steez a2 every chance I can.  It’s starting to grow on me and feel better which each has.   It’s definitely a nice reel but for the money I think the zillion sv is the best bang for your buck. I don’t feel a huge difference over the 2.   Or even go with the zillion hd for a few bucks more to step it up a notch from the zillion sv.   Time will tell.  I haven’t found the perfect rod for it yet.  Ha.

End of the day, I wouldn’t of been disappointed if I had saved $75 and bought another zillion HD.   :)
