Which jigs are correct for fishing for larger LM's at the bottom of small lakes?

Hi,

I recently bought a fishing kayak and went out on the water to see what I could get.

I was tormented the whole time by larger bass surfacing and jumping around me.

They love to stay down deeper when it's hot outside, so I'm wondering which jigs are appropriate for fishing

along the bottom for bigger bass.

Thanks,

Surfacing around you/love to stay deeper????

I'd be trying one of them walking topwater jigs I reckon if they was surfacing around me!

I think what he's saying is when he was out on the kayak they were hitting topwater at that day, but when he's fishing days that are hot the bass are deep on the bottom, not the top at that time.
